Country Standings by Medals
The following is a table that summarizes the results of the Central American and Caribbean Sports Games up to Colombia 2006. Unlike the Olympic standings, in which countries are assigned a rank related to the amount of Gold medals, then Silver, and finally Bronze, the table here organizes them by the total number of medals earned by country. Thus, a country with such as Guatemala, with less Gold medals than Panama, has a higher standing than the later country because it has more medals overall.
